We believe that community is an essential part of the Christian life. Jesus grows us and encourages us through his people.
Twice a month from fall to spring our church meets in “community groups” typically in homes on a Sunday afternoon or early evening. Community Groups are gatherings of 8-12 adults and their children that meet to fellowship with each other, typically over a simple meal.
Gathered around a short liturgy that is simple enough for children to be a part of, we pray for each other, support each other–we do life together! One of those times per month, two groups meet together to expand the circle of fellowship, giving everyone a chance to connect differently and perhaps meet someone new.
And to round out our opportunities for community, three or four times a year we offer all church social events – things like progressive dinners, church picnics, or bowling on a Sunday afternoon, all designed to help us stay connected and have fun together as a family.
Our community groups meet throughout the western suburbs. If you’re interested in joining one, email Nick Owens for more information.
